Drill to Earth's Core Fuel Leech: A stone and crystal worm that cannot attack you at all. It breaks out when the drill passes, chases it, clings to the fuel tank and drinks. It is the fastest enemy in the game.

The Crystal Layer, hidden in crystal-heavy rock with its crystal head showing. The Magma Fuel Leech lives in the Glowing Core. It first spawns in the Crystal Layer (31 km down), per the layers page. Fuel values are on the items page, and the Reaper class starts with the Soul Lantern at Level 2. Drive Speed on the upgrades page raises the drill's top speed toward the 50 that Fandom says leeches cannot match.

  • A Fuel Leech drains 1 fuel a second.
  • A Magma Fuel Leech, added on 26 September, drains 1% of the drill's maximum fuel a second, so it hurts more as Fuel Storage grows.

How to Beat the Drill to Earth's Core Fuel Leech

  • Kill leeches first, with a pickaxe; keep one player on leech watch.
  • A Reaper's Soul Lantern scares them off.
  • Drive above speed 50 and they cannot catch the drill.
