Cores From Chests
Fandom's Core page calls chests the best source: each layer you break adds 0.2 Cores to what a chest pays, multiplied by its tier. Its Chests page says the first chest of a run gives about one Core, but neither page lists the base for later chests, so the table shows only the increase.

The 29 August patch notes say chest Cores used to stop at 300 and no longer cap in Infinite Mode. The chests guide covers the tiers and the Lucky Looter class, which improves chest drops.
Cores From Boss Walls
Fandom's Core page says boss walls pay 10 more Cores for each layer broken, except the Grass Layer wall, which pays none. The page does not say whether the first paying wall gives 10 or 20, so no per-wall total is given here. The 29 August notes say the old cap of 100 Cores per boss wall is gone in Infinite Mode, where a boss wall comes every 25 km (see Infinite Mode).

Cores From Badges
Most Roblox badges in the game pay Cores once. Fandom's Achievements page lists rewards that add up to 9,535 Cores across 51 badges. The biggest are Excalibur (1,750: get excalibur), Meat To Heat (1,150: reach the core using only bodies as fuel) and Armor Optional (1,150: reach the core with no armor).
The quick ones for a new account: Welcome (5, join the game), Welcome Back (30, join for a second day), Power Of Friendship (30, play with a friend), Group Member (30, join the game name. group), First Death (5, die once) and Mine Coal (5, break a coal ore node). The badges guide lists every badge and how many players hold it.
How to Get Cores in Drill to Earth's Core With Codes
GAMENAME gives 500 Cores. Codes are entered in the lobby gift box; the codes page has every active and expired code and the redeem steps. Codes for Dig to Earth's CORE!, such as UPDATEHYPE, INDIGO, DIGGEM5000, belong to a different game and do not work here (see Drill vs Dig to Earth's Core).
